Nuno Vicente (Chartres, France, 1981).

Influenced by Arte Povera, Conceptual Art and even Joseph Beuys, it is not the final work that is important to the artist. Rather, his works are created only through the process of thinking and experience (…)

Nuno Vicente’s works are metaphors. They trigger associations, memories and experiences that approach general questions of existence and always emphasize the importance of the individual and his personal perspective. Especially the multi-layered reference to time and its perception in his work provides a discussion about the relationship between reality and imagination. What constitutes the essence of things arises in the dependence of matter on time, space and the viewpoint of consideration.
