In my work, I am interested in the notion of the untold, the recalling of memories that are buried in our minds. Using photography, printmaking and film, I engage with hidden narratives that emanate from individual and collective experiences. My process is informed by my background in cultural history, which leads me to carry out research around a particular historical moment, a collection of images, letters and memorabilia. The physical presence of these objects is a key experience, which I aim to share with the viewer of my artist books and installations. In my visual response to these fragments, I try to address the lacunas and ‘missing chapters’ within archives and narratives linked to memory.
